Fourteen of us in Cumbria for Christmas fun in clear skies, sparkling sunshine. Walks, some more ambitious than others, delightful company and great food. Lizzie enjoyed being looked after by her four great grandchildren and being carried up and down the stairs by Tim. Father Christmas duly arrived on Christmas Eve with his four elves to deliver the presents very efficiently, though one small elf was keen to unwrap for everyone!
We raised a glass to absent family members enjoying the sun in Chile, working away in London or working on DIY in Italy.
Tim's Christmas hot air balloons were wonderful as they floated skywards and like wise men and women we worshipped the bright star in the South to discover that it was the Space Station, clearly visible in such clear skies.
Gulpy moments as we all departed for Moscow, Rio de Janiero, Sunderland and Coventry.
