Rye was glorious in the sunshine. We explored Henry James' house, Scotney Castle, and were completely entranced by the tumbling, seemingly wild but highly cultivated, gardens at Great Dixter. Blogger had a problem yesterday so you might have read this in a slightly different form before it was lost!
