We went today to see the Serpentine Gallery pavilion; every other year the building has been exciting and it has been fascinating to watch people interact with the space. This year's is black, dull, heavy, and badly made. The hidden garden in the middle is interesting but the pavilion itself was oppressive.

Lunch with Will at Vinoteca in Seymour Place was it usual deliciousness. How did he manage to be so conveniently placed for the bus stop!
