A calm afternoon

We had a lovely time here with Ríona this afternoon. What a calm and good humoured child she is. She is at the stage of putting things together, trying to make things fit. But the best toy was, as ever, the bit of plastic hose which makes a delicious noise. She played merrily then crawled on to my knee and fell asleep!
She woke with a slow shy smile, never known a baby not to be a bit grumpy at waking up.
